Description: The Anchor Inn Old Fore Street is situated on Devon's Jurassic Coast and is a perfect place to come for a freshly cooked locally produced meal, be it at lunchtime or in the evening after an enjoyable stroll on the beach. Using only the best local producers (our butchers are members of the Guild of Butchers and are endorsed by no less than Rick Stein as a Food Hero) we endeavour to create a warm welcoming atmosphere with attentive staff that are genuinely concerned that your experience is a pleasurable one. FOOD SERVED ALL DAY - EVERY DAY We serve food ALL DAY EVERY DAY and a full menu with daily changing specials is available.The main focus of our specials board (catch willing!) is local fresh fish with great examples of Seabass, Sand and Torbay Sole, Brill, Whole plaice and Mullet just a few to grace our menu. We also have locally mebay crab available for one of the best crab sandwiches in the South West. FUNCTION ROOM FOR HIRE WASH ROOM FACILITIES. We offer a function room for hire at very little cost, it has its own bar and wash room facilities and if needed can have its own entrance and exit if it is required. We are home to the Sidmouth Branch of the Lions Club and hold regular functions for The Old Comrades association as well as staging multiple events for the local British Red Cross including the nationally publicised visit of the Russian federation to Britain. |
