Sidmouth AUSTIN 20 BIG 4 CHARABANC, fondly known as TOASTRACK.

Betty, as she is now known, started life in about 1912, as a charabanc.

The original chassic was requisitioned during the 1st World War.

The coach body was stored and then put onto a 1927 AUSTIN 20, a 3600cc, 4 cylinder engine, with a low ratio gearbox. Smaller wheels were put on the rear axle, to gear her down even more, for the steep hills either side of Sidmouth.
She continued carrying passengers until 1956, when she was sold.

Now 50 years later she has brought back to Sidmouth, by 3 local businessmen, Richard and Stephen Eley and Tom Griffiths grandson of the original owner, Bill Dagworthy.

She has been professionally restored by Tim Whellock and Tim Miller at Vintage Sports cars at Chard.

Betty is now available for WEDDING HIRE, film and tv work and other special occasions.
